About Convert All Units

Convert All Units is a free converter for the measurements people actually run into: length, weight, volume, area, temperature, speed, time, data size, energy, power, pressure, angles, fuel economy, US construction units, cooking measures, live currency and number-to-words.

It also covers what many big converters skip: Indian land units (cent, ground, guntha), India-specific weights such as the tola and quintal, the AC “ton”, lakh/crore number formatting, and ingredient-specific cup-to-gram cooking conversions.

How the conversions work

Everything you type is processed in your browser or on your device.

How we check the numbers

Every unit is defined once, in one shared conversion engine used by both this website and the Android app, so the two always give the same answer. Automated tests compare the engine against the published definitions (for example 1 acre = 43,560 sq ft, 1 cent = 1/100 acre, 1 guntha = 1/40 acre) and against worked examples before any change goes live. The reference tables and guides on this site are generated by that same engine, not typed in by hand.

Where a unit has no single legal definition, we say so. Bigha, kanal and marla are not included because their size changes from state to state; the ground is shown with its Chennai value of 2,400 sq ft.
